This privacy policy explains how MC³ - Maritime Cybersecurity Conference Calendar (“we”, “us”, “our website”) processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable European Union data protection laws.

1.1 Server Logs (Netlify)
Our website is hosted on Netlify. When you visit our website, Netlify automatically collects:
- IP address - your Internet Protocol address
- Date and time of access
- Requested URL - the page you visited
- HTTP status code - response status
- Referrer URL - the page you came from (if any)
- User agent - browser and operating system information
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR - legitimate interests (website security, performance optimization, and abuse prevention).
Retention period: Netlify retains access logs containing IP addresses for up to 30 days. After this period, the data is automatically deleted. This data is used solely for networking analytics and is not combined with any other identifying information.

1.2 Local Storage (Favorites Feature)
Our website uses your browser’s localStorage to save your favorite conferences. This data:
- Is stored only in your browser on your device
- Is never transmitted to our servers
- Contains only the identifiers of conferences you marked as favorites
- Persists until you clear your browser data or remove favorites manually
Important: We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics purposes.
Legal basis: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR - consent (you actively choose to use the favorites feature).
2. What Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not use cookies for tracking
- We do not use analytics services (Google Analytics, etc.)
- We do not collect personal information through forms
- We do not use advertising networks
- We do not create user profiles

Netlify, Inc. is based in the United States. Data transfers to the US are protected under:
- Netlify’s compliance with GDPR requirements
- Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs)
- Data Processing Agreement available from Netlify

5. How to Clear Local Storage
To remove your saved favorites from localStorage:
- Open your browser’s Developer Tools (F12)
- Go to “Application” or “Storage” tab
- Find “Local Storage” → our website domain
- Delete the

Or simply clear your browser’s site data in settings.
